Developing Leaders Committee

NAIOP Vancouver's Developing Leaders program

Recognizing the need to address the growing demographic of 35 and under Real Estate Professionals, NAIOP Vancouver, in conjunction with NAIOP Corporate, has initiated the NAIOP Vancouver Developing Leader (DL) Committee. Any NAIOP Member with less than 5 years of industry experience is a Developing Leader. At the same time, any employee with less than 5 years of industry experience working for a firm that enjoys member benefits may also participate in Developing Leader Events.

This committee is comprised of 10 members all with less than 5 years of industry experience and typically 35 or younger who will focus on three key action items; mentorship, education and succession planning.

Mentorship

  • The committee will work to provide Developing Leaders access to senior members of Real Estate through small group Mentorship Series

Education

  • The committee will work in conjunction with the Education Committee to facilitate educational programming in the fields of finance, construction, development, asset management, brokerage, consulting, planning, etc

Succession Planning

  • The DL committee will actively work to place Developing Leaders on all existing NAIOP Vancouver Committees as opportunities become available

Being a member of NAIOP, or an employee of a firm that enjoys member benefits, will allow you to participate in all Developing Leader Events providing:

  • Networking opportunities with peers
  • Access to senior members of our industry who will provide thoughts and insightful commentary on career development and industry direction
  • Opportunities for leadership development through active participation with NAIOP Committees
  • Educational experiences with instruction from industry leaders

Meetings are currently held at least monthly except for July, August and December. Please contact any member of the committee should you have an interest in participating in the DL Committee, any other NAIOP committee or with any programming ideas you may have.
