President & Chief Executive Officer
Westminster Management Corporation, a property holding company operating in Canada for over 85 years, owns a portfolio of properties in the Lower Mainland of Greater Vancouver. It also participates in development projects through strategic joint ventures. The company is seeking a President and CEO to lead the company, being responsible for corporate governance, strategic planning, budgeting and bottom-line results on behalf of the owners in the UK.
With a primary focus on protecting and growing the shareholders’ assets, you will oversee relationships with service providers such as the property managers, real estate brokers, auditors, lawyers and joint venture development partners in order to achieve maximum return from the existing portfolio and from equity participation in development projects. You will also assess acquisition, divestiture and development opportunities.
You will need to develop strategic, collaborative relationships with the owners and the Board, and as a member of the UK company’s senior executive team, you will be in communication with the other business units’ Managing Directors in order to share best practices and knowledge amongst the UK Group. You will present financials and development opportunities, with recommendations, to the Board and keep them informed of company activities, including leasing details, on a regular basis.
You are a strategic thinking business person with unquestionable integrity and professionalism and experience in the real estate industry, possess proven financial acumen and strong analytical and interpersonal skills.. As a strong, proactive communicator, you are able to present financial information clearly and concisely. You have good networking and partnering skills and are a strong team player while still being self-motivated, working independently and effectively in a small office environment.
