Construction Contract Administrator

Reporting to the Director of Construction, this position is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and managing the owners' responsibilities for construction contract administration procedures for new commercial projects and tenant improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years work experience, preferably with a construction company;
  • Completion of the 2-year Construction Management program at BCIT or equivalent; and
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office and MS Project.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Experience interpreting, monitoring and/or preparing construction and Architectural Drawings;
  • Review and process contemplated change orders, RFI's and bid summaries;
  • Budgets, cost estimates and schedules for base building construction and tenant improvements;
  • Progress claims and construction draws;
  • Landlord/Tenant lease agreements (landlord's work);
  • Coordination of insurance requirements and documentation;
  • Coordination of building inspections;
  • Provide regular feedback to the team on the status of the project(s) and report on document reviews, project schedules, and post occupancy evaluations; and
  • Coordination of regular meetings and meeting documentation.
